The UBC Division of Plastic Surgery is seeking a locum tenens effective immediately for a Trauma Plastic Surgeon. The term is 12 months. The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of Plastic Surgery Trauma at the Vancouver General Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Centre), including Hand & Microsurgery and Craniofacial trauma. Applicants should have postgraduate fellowship training in Hand & Microsurgery, as well as experience in Craniofacial Surgery. Prince George, BC: A full-time Plastic Surgeon Locum is required between July 1 – September 31, 2013 (dates and duration are flexible). The ideal candidate will have an interest in regional cancer care and fellowship training in breast reconstruction (ideal, but not mandatory). The position comes with a staffed office, dedicated OR & clinic time and one in four plastic surgery call responsibility. Rural retention premium, MOCAP compensation and a stipend for teaching medical students from the University of British Columbia's Northern Medical Program are also available.
